Supports JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, SVG
Image Converter — Convert Images Between Formats Instantly
Features & Tips
- Multi-format Conversion: Supports JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, SVG. Pro tip: Use WebP for web (great quality, small size), JPG/PNG for general sharing, PNG/WebP for transparent backgrounds, and GIF for animations.
- Quality Control: Adjust output quality (1-100) for lossy formats (JPG, WebP, AVIF). Reference: 80-90 is recommended — 80 balances size and quality, 90+ for high-quality output, under 60 for thumbnails. PNG and GIF are lossless — quality slider is disabled.
- Size Control: Width and Height default to 0 (original size). Set one value and leave the other at 0 for proportional scaling. For example, set Width to 800 with Height at 0 — height is automatically calculated to maintain the aspect ratio. Set both values for exact dimensions (image will be stretched). Tip: Use preset buttons to quickly switch to 4K, 1080p, and other common resolutions.
- Compare & Download: Side-by-side comparison of original and converted images. File size changes are highlighted in green (reduced) or red (increased) with percentage, helping you evaluate the conversion result.
Format Selection Guide
- JPG/JPEG: Best for photos and complex images — small file size, rich colors. Does not support transparency. Ideal for photography, product shots, and backgrounds.
- PNG: Lossless compression with transparency support. Great for icons, logos, screenshots, and designs needing alpha channels. Files are typically larger than JPG.
- WebP: Google's modern format supporting both lossy/lossless compression and transparency. 25-35% better compression than JPG. Highly recommended for the web — browser support is excellent.
- AVIF: Next-gen format based on AV1 encoding. About 20% better compression than WebP, supports HDR and transparency. Ideal for极致 size optimization, but some older browsers don't support it.
- GIF: Supports simple animations with a maximum of 256 colors. Good for small animations and memes, but poor for photos. Consider video formats for high-quality animations.
- BMP: Uncompressed raw format with huge file sizes. Convert to another format unless you have specific compatibility requirements.
Use Cases
🌐 Web Optimization: Convert PNG to WebP/AVIF or compress JPG exports from design tools to significantly reduce page load sizes. Use preset sizes to quickly scale images to web-friendly widths like 1920px or 1280px.
📱 App Development: Different platforms prefer different formats — iOS favors PNG and HEIC, Android recommends WebP, and the web uses WebP/AVIF. This tool helps you convert between them quickly.
📧 Email Compatibility: Email clients universally support JPG and PNG. Convert TIFF, BMP, or WebP to JPG/PNG for reliable display. Keep image widths under 600-800px — email templates usually don't handle large images well.
🖼️ Batch Archiving: Convert camera RAW files to JPG for archiving, or normalize mixed-format collections to PNG for a consistent asset library. Use preset sizes to unify image resolutions.
